Salvador!!!

Sorria, estamos na Bahía!

Chegamos ontem em Salvador, depois de passar o dia na Praia do Forte e visitar o Projeto Tamar. À noite, tivemos o nosso tão aguardado Show de Talentos, que foi muito divertido e todos adoraram!

Hoje tivemos um dia lindo em Salvador! Começamos cedo, indo visitar a Igreja do Nosso Senhor do Bomfim, e os intercambistas puderam comprar as famosas fitinhas do Senhor do Bomfim.
Depois, seguimos para o Mercado Modelo onde todos fizeram várias compras de coisas típicas da Bahía e do Nordeste.

Continuando o nosso passeio, subimos no Elevador Lacerda, um dos principais pontos trísticos de Salvador e chegamos no Pelourinho, a parte histórica da cidade. Depois do almoço, visitamos mais uma igreja, a Igreja de São Francisco, considerada a mais rica do Brasil por sua linda decoração em ouro.

Depois tivemos tempo livre no Pelourinho, onde todos puderam tirar muitas fotos e finalizamos a noite com o maravilhoso show do Balé Folclórico da Bahía, considerado pela maioria dos intercambistas como o melhor show da viagem.

Amanhã continuaremos a nossa viagem e chegaremos em Porto Seguro! Mandaremos mais notícias de lá.

Smile, we are in Bahía!

We arrived yesterday after spending the day in Praia do Forte where we visited the Tamar Project, a project that helps protecting the sea turtles and other animals. Last night we had our Talent Show, it was very funny and everybody loved it!

Today we had a beautiful day in Salvador! We started our day with a visit to the Nosso Senhor do Bomfim church and the exchange students had the chance to buy the famous bracelets from the church.

After that we went to the Modelo Market and everybody bought many souvenirs from Bahía and from the Northeast.

Then we went up the Lacerda Elevator which is one of the main tourist spots of Salvador, and arrived at the historic part of the city. After lunch we visited the San Francisco de Assis church which is the richest church of Brazil because of its amount of gold inside.

The exchange students also had some free time in Pelourinho and they took lots of pictures. We endedthe night watching a beautiful presentation of the "Bale Folclorico da Bahia", a great cultural spectacle, considered the best show of the trip by most of the exchange students.

Tomorrow we will continue our trip and will arrive in Porto Seguro! We will post more news from there.

Natal, Rio Grande do Norte! Cidade do Sol!!! ("Sun City"!!)

Boa Tarde!!

Escrevemos hoje do Rio Grande do Norte! Estamos em Natal, conhecida como Cidade do Sol que, devido à sua condição geográfica próxima a linha do Equador, chega a ter dias COM ATÈ 15 horas de sol!! Aqui é um paraíso para aqueles que gostam de curtir o dia...

Chegamos ontem no final da tarde,  após uma tranquila viagem desde Maceió.

Hoje acordamos por volta de 8 da manhã e as 9 já estávamos de saída para conhecer o maior Cajueiro do mundo, em Pirangi do Norte.  Em seguida curtimos bastante mais um dia de praia, e acabamos de voltar para o hotel.

Hoje à noite teremos um maravilhoso luau na frente da praia, com direito a mesa de frutas e DJ!! Todos estão esperando muito por isso!!

A viagem está EXCELENTE até agora, e todos estão aproveitando cada segundo!!

Good Afternoon!!

Today, we write from Rio Grande do Norte state!!!! Here we are in Natal, capital city of the state and known as “Sun City”. Because of the geographic condition of the city, near the Ecuador line, some days here happens to have almost 15 hours of sun: it is perfect for the people who enjoy the daylight!

We arrived here yesterday after a calm journey from Maceió!

Today we woke up at 8 in the morning and at 9 we went out to visit the biggest cashew tree in the world, “Cajueiro de Pirangi”. After we stayed at Pirangi beach to enjoy the sun!

Tonight we will have a tropical party (Luau) in front of the beach, with a table full of fruits and a DJ!! Everybody is really excited for that!

The trip is PERFECT so far, and they are having “the time of their life”!!
