Maceió, Alagoas!

Boa noite a todos!

Depois de 14 horas de viagem, enfim chegamos ontem a noite em Maceió, capital do estado Alagoas.

Hoje pela manhã visitamos a famosa praia de Pajuçara, onde fizemos o passeio de jangada nas piscinas naturais! Lá aproveitamos a paisagem, o sol quente, as águas cristalinas e nos divertimos bastante.

Após o almoço , visitamos as feirinhas onde fizemos compras e tivemos tempo livre para aproveitar a tarde na praia,  onde apreciamos um lindo pôr do sol. Em seguida tivemos um jantar delicioso na orla da praia.

Voltamos ao hotel, fizemos nossa reunião diária e agora vamos descansar afinal, amanhã temos um longo dia pela frente.

Good evening!

After 14 hours “on the road again”, we arrived yesterday night at Maceió, capital of Alagoas State.

Today morning we went to the famous Pajuçara beach, where we made the tour to the Natural Pools. There we could enjoy the landscape, the hot sun, the really clear water and we had a lot of fun!

After lunch we went to make some shopping at the “fair of handicrafts” over here, and we ended our day watching a perfect sunset by the beach!

We came back to the hotel, had our meeting and now we are going to rest: tomorrow we have another long day over here!

Chapada Diamantina!!!

Olá pessoal!!

Mais um dia de Chapada Diamantina. Hoje, o dia foi cheio de caminhadas... 14Km!! Começamos com o Morro do Pai Inácio, onde primeiramente caminhamos por uma estrada de terra, até a base do morro, e depois uma escalada de mais alguns quilômetros até o topo. Chegando ao topo várias fotos foram tiradas, e ouvimos o conto que deu origem ao nome do lugar.

Seguimos para a cidade para almoçarmos e, tivemos algum tempo livre.

Passado um almoço começamos outra trilha, esta de 4km, até um escorregador natural. Lá, nadamos muito e descemos por uma cachoeira, caindo em um belo lago!

Voltamos ao hotel caminhando, jantamos e fizemos nossa reunião usual.

E para finalizar, um show de capoeira muito bacana.

Foi um dia cheio, mas muito divertido.

Amanhã seguimos viagem para Maceio!!

Another day at Chapada Diamantina. Today the day was full of walking...  14km!!!

We started at Morro do Padre Inácio, where we hiked. Getting on the top, we took many pictures and we heard the legend that gave name to the place.

After that we went to the city to have lunch and some free time.

Then, we went hiking another thrill, and we arrived in a natural slide. We spend around an hour swimming and sliding, and then, back to the hotel walking.

In the hotel we had dinner and our usual meeting.

At the end of the day, a very cool Capoeira class!!

It was a full day, but very fun!!

Tomorrow we get on the road again, on our way to Maceio!!

Chapada Diamantina!!

Ola pessoal,

Hoje tivemos um dia lindo na Chapada Diamantina!

Saímos bem cedo e o grupo foi dividio em 2 grupos menores: o primeiro grupo começou o dia conhecendo a Fazenda Pratinha, onde tiveram a oportunidade de fazer flutuação (snorkeling) dentro de uma caverna, descer numa Tiroleza de 12 metros de altura e 80 metros de comprimento e nadar nas lindas águas da Gruta Pratinha.


Enquanto isso o outro grupo foi para a Gruta Lapa Doce, onde puderam caminhar por essa linda e curiosa caverna que já foi cenário de várias novelas brasileiras, além de tirar várias fotos e aprender um pouco da história dessa região.

Depois do almoço o grupo 1 seguiu para a Gruta Lapa Doce e o grupo 2 foi conhecer a Fazenda Pratinha. Voltamos para o hotel no final da tarde e encontramos um delicioso jantar nos esperando.

Depois do jantar os intercambistas tiveram tempo livre para aproveitar a área de lazer do hotel: piscina, sala de jogos, etc. Amanhã sairemos cedo para conhecer o cartão postal da Chapada Diamantina: o famoso Morro do Pai Inácio.

A viagem está sendo maravilhosa e todos estão aproveitando muito.

Hello everybody!!

Today we had a wonderful day at Chapada Diamantina!

We left the hotel early in the morning and our group was splitted in two smaller groups. The first group went to Fazenda Pratinha, where they had the chance to do snorkelling in a cave, to go on a Zipline and tio swim in the wonderful waters of Pratinha Cave.

Meanwhile the other group went to Lapa Doce cave and they could walk through this wonderful cave where many brazilian telenovelas where shot. The exchange students had the opportunity to take many pictures and to learn more about the history of Chapada Diamantina.

After lunch group 1 went to Lapa Doce cave and group 2 went to Fazenda Pratinha. We went back to the hotel in the end of the afternoon and found a wonderful dinner waiting for us.

After dinner the exchange students had some free time to enjoy the pool and the game room. Tomorrow we will leave early to visit one of the most famous spots of Chapada Diamantina: Morro do Pai Inácio.

The trip is going very well and everybody is enjoying a lot!

NORTHEAST JANUARY 2014!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Boa Noite a todos!!!

Sejam todos bem vindos a nossa viagem do NORDESTE JANEIRO 2014!!!

Ontem os 93 intercambistas chegaram aqui em Belo Horizonte, ponto inicial da nossa viagem! Hoje de manhã, os jovens fizeram os exames médicos e depois do almoço tivemos nossa Orientação Geral da Viagem, quando passamos dicas de como cuidar bem da saúde, como economizar dinheiro, como aproveitar melhor a viagem e claro, relembramos as regras do Rotary! Demos as boas vindas também às nossas Chaperones do Rotary Arlete Scherer e Graziela Ely, representantes do Distrito 4700 que chegaram hoje!

Acabamos de ter uma aula de Forró e funk: todos estão beeeem animados para a viagem!!

Good Evening everyone!!!

Welcome to the NORTHEAST JANUARY 2014 trip!

Yesterday the 93 students arrived here in Belo Horizonte, the start city of this amazing trip! This morning, the students attended the medical exams and in the afternoon we had the general Orientation of the trip, when we gave many tips on how to spend the time better, take good care of the health and other important and useful information for the students, including reminding them the Rotary/trip rules. We also gave a big welcome to our chaperones from district 4700 Arlete Scherer and Graziela Ely, who arrived today!!

We just had our Forró and Funk class: everyone is really excited for this trip!!
